The start of a new year brings excitement and possibilities, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.
New this year, WAVE will be offering a 24/7 tutoring service through Tutor.com. This resource will be in addition to the mall office hours where subject area teachers offer face-to-face help with courses.(Watch for the monthly mall calendars.) More information regarding Tutor.com will be coming soon, so keep an eye out for it.
Also, our full-time high school age students have the unique opportunity of getting involved with Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). This is a leadership club that meets approximately one time per month. Our FBLA club is the first virtual chapter of its kind, and this is a phenomenal opportunity for students to gain leadership skills, be involved in the community, and meet other like-minded students. Last year, this group, led by advisor Mrs. Dawn Jameson, participated in field trips, and other fun activities. They have a lot of exciting things planned this year, and I encourage anyone who is interested to get involved.
Students, if you have not done so already, please check your email and take a look at your Graduation Plans that have been shared with you via Google docs. This plan shows a snapshot of credits earned and credits needed for graduation. I am happy to meet with anyone who would like to discuss their plans with me. Or, if you have any questions about classes, please reach out. The 19-20 Course Offerings link can be found on the shared Google doc.
Your fall semester will start on September 3 . Check your email for Welcome Letters from your teachers.
